Desktops are easily cluttered when working with more than one application. This is where Desktop Panorama comes in, with its excellent solution for this particular issue. The application's purpose is to give you more room for your windows, by extending your desktop left and right. Of course, the idea is not something new. While there are similar applications on the market, Desktop Panorama makes everything much easier and it feels more comfortable and elegant.

Desktop Panorama is distributed as a donationware application, which means that it is absolutely free, but you can make a donation if you wish to support further developments. It takes only a few moments to download and install the application. It doesn't ask for any special tools or drivers and its hardware requirements are modest.

Installing and running the application is all you have to do. A quick guide will be displayed, to help you get started, after which you may continue your work as usual. When you feel that you are running out of room on your desktop, you can touch the bottom-right corner of the screen to bring up a mini-map of the extended desktop.

The mini-map is essentially a neatly designed and animated ribbon, on which you can see your opened windows. You can move individual windows on the ribbon and see them move on the actual desktop until they are out of view. The application provides two special tools, on the same ribbon, for moving windows and for focusing on a specific spot of the extended ribbon. It is also possible to click and drag a window out of the ribbon, instead of scrolling to it.

You can spread your windows on the entire ribbon and click and drag with the focusing tool to scroll left and right on the actual desktop. Your wallpapers and icons will remain perfectly still, while your windows will travel according to how you scroll. Furthermore, you can right click a window's representation to reveal a few options for closing the window, pinning it on the desktop, so it won't move when you scroll and more. You can also bring up a general settings menu, with more options, including options for changing the ribbon's skins.

Pros

You can extend the working space for your windows. The application's elegant design makes everything quite easy. It is offered free of charge and you can install it almost instantly.

Cons

There are no obvious design flaws or functionality gaps that need to be addressed. Desktop Panorama's straightforward and elegant functionality can streamline your work, regardless of how many windows you have on your screen.
